Originally from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Allison came to Gallatin as an undergraduate student in 2009. Her concentration focused on travel narratives and the multiculturalism in popular media, and her favorite courses included “The Art of Travel,” “Media and Migration,” and Hindi language courses that helped her earn a minor in South Asian Studies.
Allison studied away at both NYU Berlin and NYU London, and she traveled with Gallatin to Germany and Senegal through the Dean’s Honor Society. She is currently developing her interest in tourism and travel studies even further as a graduate student in the NYU School of Professional Studies, pursuing an MS in Tourism Management. Allison joined the Gallatin Office of Global Programs in 2014 and is a proponent of Global Programs across the University.
