Rachel oversees the calendar of events and activities for the School. An expert on all things event- and Gallatin-related, she has worked at the School since 1997. In her role as Senior Director for Events and Special Programs, Rachel provides event consultation to students, faculty, staff, and administrators who are organizing events at the School. Along with her team, she manages event spaces in the Gallatin building and helps find available, appropriate spaces on campus, advises students and faculty on event budgeting, and offers recommendations on caterers and other vendors. A third generation New Yorker, Rachel grew up in a family of artists in downtown Manhattan. She holds a BA in Anthropology from NYU and volunteers as a writing workshop leader for the New York Writers Coalition.
