Here at Gallatin, Leah is studying all dimensions of sustainable development, but especially environmental, and is a part of the Gallatin/CAS Environmental Studies partnership. Leah loves Gallatin because she is given the opportunity to study what she finds fascinating, particularly the intertwined relationships within all Global issues (Political, Environmental, Social, and Economic). Eventually Leah wants to go to law school and pursue environmental law, but first she hopes to join the Peace Corps shortly after graduating. In fact she is applying for the Peace Corps this summer, so wish her luck!
When not in school, Leah loves to be outside hiking, skiing and rafting, thanks to her childhood spent in the small town of Durango, Colorado. Although Leah chose not to study abroad while at NYU, she did spend a year abroad in France during high school. Due to that experience she now tutors French around the city, which she loves. Leah also recently started working at a Yoga Studio on 28th and Broadway (which she can't recommend enough! In fact, if anyone wants discounts on a first class, don't hesitate to contact her!) and plans on starting a yoga teacher training intensive course this summer.
