Andrew Levitas is a filmmaker, fine artist and producer, whose teaching interests focus on the artists mind as well as artistic process more generally. Levitas is the pioneer of Metalwork Photography®, a patented/trademarked process which connects photography, sculpture, and contemporary art. Levitas has been honored as one of only a handful of American painters ever accepted to the prestigious Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts . In addition to a growing list of American and international gallery exhibitions, Levitas’ work has garnered attention through top auction houses, museums, and art fairs. Recent highlights include a solo exhibition Metalwork Photography®: Sculptures at Phillips de Pury & Co. in Manhattan. Levitas also recently directed the feature film LULLABY staring Garrett Hedlund, Amy Adams, Jennifer Hudson, Richard Jenkins, Terrence Howard, Jessica Brown-Findlay, and Anne Archer , from his own screenplay. Levitas has produced films including: The Art of Getting By (Fox Searchlight), Affluenza (2013), Bad Actress (Strand), Innocence (Killer Films), and At Any Price (Sony Classics).
