Dianne Ramdeholl has been an adult education practitioner for over fifteen years. She's committed to adult education for democratic social change. The principal focus of her research has been developing educational projects with disenfranchised populations that promote equitable socio-economic and socio-political conditions. Her research and practice have primarily focused on connecting adult education to increased participation in democratic-decision making. She is lead co-editor and co-author of an issue of New Directions in Adult and Continuing Education entitled, "The Struggle for Democracy in Adult Education" (Jossey-Bass, 2010) and is also author of an upcoming book entitled "Adult Literacy in a New Era: Lessons from The Open Book" (Paradigm, 2011).
