Helena Ribeiro is a Phd candidate at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. Her dissertation, "On the Contrary: Edgar Allan Poe, H. L Mencken, Ezra Pound, and the Aesthetics of American Belligerence" investigates the intersections of aesthetics, rhetoric, and politics in American political discourses.
