Tara Gellene is a Ph.D. candidate in English and Comparative Literature at Columbia University, where she held a Marjorie Hope Nicolson Fellowship from 2004 to 2010. Her dissertation examines the relationship between ethics, aesthetics and meta-fiction in British modernist novels. Gellene taught University Writing at Columbia from 2006 to2009 and has been a consultant in the Columbia University Writing Center from 2006 to 2010. Her research interests include the novel, theories of fiction, ethics and literature, utopian literature,
fin de siècle occultism, adventure fiction and detective fiction.
