The MA Orientation will be followed by a tour of Gallatin. As an extra bonus, the annual Gallatin Arts Festival (created as the basis for a Gallatin MA thesis) will be taking place throughout the building and will culminate in a final performance at 7:00 PM in the Jerry H. Labowitz Theatre for the Performing Arts, on the first floor of Gallatin. You are welcome to attend the performance. Details regarding the Gallatin Arts Festival will be posted soon.
RSVP to John Bradley.
All incoming Gallatin graduate students should plan to attend an orientation session prior to the start of the academic year. Orientation sessions are scheduled periodically, beginning in late spring for students enrolling in the fall, and in December and January for students beginning in the spring. We also hold an orientation in the days before classes begin in the fall and in the spring.
At orientation, you will meet other entering Gallatin graduate students and Gallatin faculty members and learn about the NYU registration process.
As a Gallatin student, you will find that you will spend much of your time at NYU exploring courses offered by other schools of the university. Orientation is an opportunity to find out how to familiarize yourself with all of NYU and to assist you in making choices that will contribute to your academic objectives and long-term plans.
Please note: The Gallatin Graduate MA Orientation is only for students who have been admitted to the Gallatin School. If you are a prospective student who wishes to learn more about Gallatin, please attend one of our information sessions.
