All incoming Gallatin graduate students should plan to attend an orientation session prior to the start of the academic year. As a Gallatin student, you will find that you will spend much of your time at NYU exploring courses offered by other schools of the university. Orientation is an opportunity to find out how to familiarize yourself with all of NYU and to assist you in making choices that will contribute to your academic objectives and long-term plans. At orientation, you will meet other entering Gallatin graduate students and Gallatin faculty members and learn about the NYU registration process.
Orientation sessions are scheduled periodically, beginning in late spring for students enrolling in the fall, and in December and January for students beginning in the spring. We also hold an orientation in the days before classes begin in the fall and in the spring.
Please note: The Gallatin Graduate MA Orientation is only for students who have been admitted to the Gallatin School. If you are a prospective student who wishes to learn more about Gallatin, please attend one of our information sessions.
