NYU Graduate Housing

NYU offers a limited number of spaces for graduate students. To be eligible for housing, all graduate students interested in housing must complete the Housing Application and submit the deposit, which DOES NOT guarantee placement in Graduate Housing, but makes students eligible for housing. If offered, graduate student housing is for one academic year (fall entry) or one semester (spring entry) only. University housing is non-renewable after the spring semester. Should a student not be offered a space, the deposit will be refunded/applied to other charges before the semester begins.

If you decline your offer, miss the application or payment deadline, or cancel your housing, all future housing requests can be made only through re-applying for graduate housing.

Once assigned, residence hall, room, and roommate information will be mailed to you by August. Although we cannot guarantee that there will be space available in a specific residence hall or room type, you can be assured that you will live in a safe and comfortable facility that offers opportunities for growth, friendship, and success. Please visit the NYU Housing Web Site to view the offerings and to answer many of your questions regarding hall locations, amenities, rates, and dates. Please note, all New York University residence halls are smoke-free.

The various residences differ in location and types of accommodations to suit different preferences and budgets. All apartments are furnished, have kitchens and baths, and many provide additional amenities.

Accommodations are in a shared configuration.

Family housing is not available.
