Scholarships and Other Financial Resources

The following scholarships, grants and other financial resources may provide additional financial assistance for Gallatin undergraduate students:

Gallatin Undergraduate Research Fund (GURF)
Gallatin first-years, sophomores, juniors and first-term seniors Grants to support individual research projects.  Awards range from $250 to $1,000.

Dean's Award for Summer Research Rising or current Juniors
Up to $2,500 in support to Gallatin students with junior standing to conduct research in the summer before their senior year.

Dean's Award for Graduating Seniors Undergraduates in their senior year Awards range between $500 and $2,000 to support research projects pursued after graduation and related to their concentration or colloquium

Horn Fund for Environmental Research All enrolled Gallatin undergraduate and graduate students Up to $4,000 for projects related to environmentalism, environmental studies, environmental activism and events to improve the environment

Jewish Studies grants All enrolled Gallatin undergraduate and graduate students Grants of $500 to $1,500 to support research related to Jewish history, culture, and thought. Call for proposals issued via email to NYU email accounts of all students. Kendall Blakemore, 212.998.7245
Herbert Rubin Creative Writing Award All enrolled Gallatin undergraduate and graduate students Competitive award for creative pieces submitted to the Gallatin Review Submission to Gallatin Review June Foley, 212.998.7359
Mike Bender Internship Grant All enrolled Gallatin undergraduate and graduate students Award of approximately $500, given each year to a student  on an internship that promotes the ideals of compassion, understanding and tolerance. $5,000 stipend to facilitate summer research or experiential learning projects in the area of human rights issues.

Gallatin Newington-Cropsey Foundation Fellowship Gallatin undergraduates with strong academic records and Gallatin graduate students who have completed at least 12 credits at Gallatin.
