Sexposed: The Gallatin Fashion Show introduced the innovative, original fashion designs of 12 Gallatin students and aluma to a packed house in the Jerry H. Labowitz Theatre for the Performing Arts on the evening of February 1. The show, which explored the themes of gender identity and gender roles in fashion, kicked off with a panel discussion featuring supermodel Cheryl Tiegs, Gallatin student Colby Jordan and Gallatin faculty member Karen Hornick. Tiegs was also the master of ceremonies for the event, which explored self-expression, cultural constructions of gender and the breaking down of stereotypes. The designers included Alex Chernow, Allison Taylor, Anna Little, Elyse Frenchman, Gia Seo, Harmeet Neetu Sidhu, Kate Goldwater, Kim Fuerth, Liza St. John, Megan Moore, Sara Tan-Velez and Rose Lou. Photographer and Gallatin alum Rebecca Yale (BA ‘10) created a spare and elegant Look Book for the show, and it was produced by Rachel Plutzer and Theresa Anderson, in Gallatin’s Office of Special Events.
