Dean's Conference Fund

Conference

The Dean’s Conference Fund was established to provide support for any enrolled Gallatin student who wishes to attend or present at a professional conference. Awards range from $250 to $750 and can be used to defray travel expenses or pay conference registration fees, etc. Awards are made on a reimbursement basis—students must submit proof of expenditures to receive reimbursement. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

Students must apply and be approved for a conference grant before the start of the conference. A student may receive funding for only one conference per academic year.

Eligibility

Enrolled Gallatin undergraduate and graduate students may apply.

Applications are received on a rolling basis.

Application Requirements

  • Concentration/Thesis: Describe your concentration or thesis and explain how this award/fellowship may contribute to your concentration/thesis's development.
  • Project Proposal: Give a detailed description of your project. Include your project goal(s), a brief demonstration of your knowledge related to the field of study, a description of your research methods or artistic process, and your project outcome (i.e., an essay intended for publication, a work of art, etc.).
  • Budget: provide an itemized account of your expenses associated with this project. If the total cost of the project is above the award amount, be able to explain how you will procure the additional funding to complete the project.
