Welcome to Gallatin!

This site will help you prepare for your pre-registration advising appointments with a faculty adviser and register for fall courses. There will be a full orientation experience during Welcome Week in August before classes begin. In the meantime, brush up on your knowledge of the Gallatin School so that you know what to expect in your first semester.

Are you ready to begin? Follow these SEVEN STEPS to register for your first semester at Gallatin:

  1. Gallatin’s Philosophy and Curriculum
    Learn more about individualized, interdisciplinary study at Gallatin
    and your requirements for graduation.
  2. Academic Advising
    Complete your Advising Questionnaire, which must be submitted
    online by SUNDAY, MAY 20.
  3. First-Year Program courses
    Prepare for your first conversation with a Gallatin adviser on FRIDAY,
    JUNE 1, and select your top five choices for each of your fall Gallatin
    seminars by SUNDAY, JUNE 3.
  4. Your Individualized Plan of Study
    Search for courses and create scheduling options to prepare for your
    next advising conversation, after which you will submit your Plan of
    Study on TUESDAY, JUNE 5 or WEDNESDAY, JUNE 6.
  5. Registering for classes
    Learn your way around Albert, the NYU student information services
    website, so that you are ready to register for fall courses on or after
    THURSDAY, JUNE 7.
  6. Add your profile on ATLAS
    Create a profile and connect with other Gallatin students over the summer.
  7. Looking forward to fall!
