MA Candidate - Global Security and Development
Whether as a scholar, activist, organizer, or leader, Michael has always sought to personify the change he wants to see in the world. As an undergraduate at Gonzaga Univeristy, Michael studied Political Science. For the past several years, he has been engaging in multiple capacities with the questions and issues that matter to him most, whether that be through his work with the Institute for Civic Engagement and Democracy (at Miami Dade College), the Center for Community Engagement (at Saint Thomas University), or through his work with NGOs, like Service For Peace and Minds On Africa. As a graduate student at Gallatin, Michael studies global security and development, focusing on the relationship between institutions and peace building in sub-Saharan Africa.
