BA Candidate - Marketing and Social and Cultural Analysis; Minor: Gender and Sexuality Studies
Born in New Jersey, Lindsay began her career as a professional ballet dancer at age fifteen in New York City with the American Ballet Theatre. She later danced in Germany with the Stuttgart Ballet. She came to Gallatin to explore her interests in marketing, beauty, and gender, which led her to create a concentration that explores the commodification of feminism in capitalist markets. She is the Founder of The Gender and Power Society, and has participated each year in the annual Gallatin Fashion Show as a hair and makeup artist. Lindsay studied the intersection of corporate social responsibility and gender through Gallatin’s Dean’s Award for Summer Research, has spoken on Undergraduate Stern Women in Business panels, and has particularly enjoyed incorporating ethnographic research into her undergraduate studies. As a result of this research, her work has been published in Confluence and The Gallatin Research Journal, and she was named a Regional Winner for the US and Canada in the Linguistics Category of The Undergraduate Awards. Lindsay interned for Amazon during her junior year, and is excited to be joining The Estée Lauder Companies full-time through their Presidential Associate Program when she graduates.
