Marc Dones (BA ’11) came to Gallatin from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. His concentration was titled "Psychiatric Anthropology," and he used anthropological methodology to evaluate the construction of psychiatric disease classifications. Dones says his senior project – writing a thesis on the neuroscience of addiction -- was one of the most inspiring things he did at Gallatin. The faculty, he adds, “all genuinely cared about whether or not I succeeded, but more than that, they cared about me as a person and wanted to make sure that I graduated as a well-rounded person and not just an accomplished academic.”
