Campus Movie Fest
Presented by Gallatin Student Council

April 18-April 26

Share your story on the big screen as part of the world's largest student film festival on your campus and in Hollywood. Borrow a MacBook Pro or iPad 2 and a Panasonic HD camcorder, plus get all the training and support you need, to make a movie in a week.

How to Participate: Sign up on Facebook or Sign up without Facebook

Length: 5 minutes or less

Price: Free

* Never made a movie before, no worries. CMF staff will be there to show you how to work all the equipment and how to start (All support will be run out of the Tisch 9th Floor Lobby)

*Best Picture winners on each campus will be invited to screen and attend the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. If you accept this invitation your film will screen in the Short Film Corner, and you'll be given one festival pass for entry into this glamorous festival in the South of France.

The Big Walk 2: Fifth Ave tip to tail

On Saturday, April 21st, in honor of Earth Day the next day, Gallatin will be doing The Big Walk 2: Fifth Ave tip to tail.

Part-timers are welcome. We will be carrying the “school phone” so you can find us along the route. When registering provide your email address so we can send you our phone number the day before the walk

Gallatin is providing sandwiches and healthy snacks for all participants.

This is free for everyone, but we are asking for a $20 donation if you’re not a Gallatin affiliate.

about the magic of comics and the upcoming summer powerhouse releases of the new
superhero movies based on comics — THE AVENGERS, THE AMAZING
SPIDER-MAN and Batman’s DARK KNIGHT RISES. What makes a superhero?
What's the history of comics in US culture? Why do we seem to get so
obsessed with them? We'll talk about all that and more!”
