Alumni Day: Dean's Luncheon

As part of NYU Alumni Day 2014, Gallatin Professor Kristin Horton will lead a discussion of Julius Caesar, Shakespeare’s most well known political play, which will be staged this fall as part of the School's Roman Tragedies Festival. In addition to a discussion of Shakespeare's text, we will be joined by the all-female Julius Caesar ensemble to hear about this unique production, the discoveries they made during rehearsals, and the collaborative process which began in a Gallatin tutorial.

You're encouraged to bring your favorite version of Julius Caesar; we will not be sending out the text in advance as many editions may be found online for free. (ex; via MIT, Gutenberg, Archive.org)

Julius Caesar will run in repertoire as part of the Roman Tragedies Festival in the Jerry H. Labowitz Theatre for the Performing Arts from November 6 through 16. Tickets and additional information are now available via gallatin.nyu.edu/events.

$15/person for the luncheon.
