Prize-winning novelist Eleanor Catton will discuss her work and lead a guest workshop with students in Gallatin, Liberal Studies, and those studying abroad at NYU Buenos Aires. She is brought to Buenos Aires by FILBA (Festival Internacional de Literatura de Buenos Aires), and will interact with students at NYU Washington Square through networked video conference.
Eleanor Catton is the author of two novels. The Luminaries (2013) received the Man Booker Prize, making Catton, at 28, the youngest author to win this prestigious award. The Rehearsal (2008) was shortlisted for the Guardian First Book Award and the Dylan Thomas Prize, and longlisted for the Orange Prize. It has since been published in 17 territories and 12 languages. She holds an MFA from the Iowa Writers' Workshop.
