Writers in Progress with Professors Nancy Agabian and Judith Greenberg

Professor Nancy Agabian will read from the novel she is currently writing, The Fear of Large and Small Nations, a ruptured love story set against a political backdrop of burgeoning social movements in post-Soviet Armenia. Professor Agabian is the author of Princess Freak and Me as her again: True Stories of an Armenian Daughter. She is currently teaching the Advanced Writing Course “Writing Nonfiction on Social Change.”

Professor Judith Greenberg will read from a manuscript of creative nonfiction. The culmination of 10 years’ research and writing, Professor Greenberg’s hybrid memoir tells the story of her family, drawing on a cousin’s diary from a Polish ghetto in 1942, and explores the transmission of stories of trauma across generations. The editor of Trauma At Home: After 9/11, Professor Greenberg is currently teaching the Interdisciplinary Seminar “Times of Trauma.”
