As Gallatin's Writing Program Associate Director, Allyson supports the extracurricular and co-curricular components of the Writing Program. This includes editing Confluence, Gallatin’s online platform for student writing, art, and research; facilitating the writing program’s civic engagement projects, including Great World Texts and The Literacy Review; planning and producing the writing program’s special events; and publishing a print journal with the Prison Education Project. She earned her MFA in Poetry from NYU's Creative Writing Program, where she was a Starworks Fellow. Her poetry and criticism have appeared widely in print and online and she is the recipient of a NYFA Fellowship in Poetry. With Norah Maki, she is co-founding editor of Singing Saw Press.

Recent News

Allyson’s poem “Jalousie” appeared in the October 2021 issue of Poetry Magazine.

Allyson’s essay “See Your Trash” was published in the November/December 2021 issue of The Baffler.

In March 2022, Singing Saw Press published Redolent, an artbook by Nancy Friedemann-Sanchez and Farid Matuk, which was featured in an exhibit at Wesleyan University, Nebraska.
