Karen is the Administrative Aide supporting Faculty Services and the Urban Democracy Lab concurrently. She is responsible for day-to-day operations and assists in long-term planning and development. Taking the lead in multi-layered projects, Karen is able to find simple solutions for complex problems and maintain meticulous organization systems to ensure nothing falls through the cracks. Karen grew up in Paris, Saudi Arabia, and Virginia before taking root in New York. With an extensive background in the publishing industry, Karen works outside of Gallatin as a freelance editor, agent, and consultant. She is an avid reader, advocate of genre fiction, and devourer of tabletop role-playing games.
