Students will leave this week-long retreat with greater intellectual engagement with the thesis and other academic writing, effective communication of ideas, a path towards timely graduation, and an over-all positive outlook. Writing specialists will be on hand to lead goal-setting exercises and individual consultations.

Making plans to complete your proposal and/or begin your thesis research and writing? Summer can be a time to look at your thesis or ongoing writing project with new perspective. The retreat will focus on writing routines to sustain momentum and productivity. We'll focus on developing individualized game plans for your project and we'll share knowledge of the habits of successful and satisfying writing practice. Most importantly, we’ll collectively create an environment for sustained writing, and participants will leave after having accomplished their initial writing goals.
