Students entering Gallatin must enroll in courses at NYU New York in the first semester. All students are expected to remain enrolled in each fall and spring semester until graduation by either registering for NYU courses or by maintaining matriculation. In some instances a student may need to request an official leave of absence for a fall or spring semester. Undergraduate students must complete all degree requirements within a period of 10 years from the first semester of matriculation at Gallatin.
The programs and courses offered at the Gallatin School are designed for students who attend courses during the day or the evening, on a full-time or part-time basis. Students may register for a maximum of 18 units per fall or spring semester and a maximum of 8 units per six-week summer session. Please see Maximum Units per Term for more information.
