Lecture Series

Throughout the year, Gallatin invites prominent figures from the worlds of politics, the arts, and business as well as distinguished faculty members from NYU and other academic institutions to discuss contemporary issues with students, faculty, alumni and members of the wider community. These lectures are in keeping with Gallatin’s academic mission, which is firmly rooted in the idea that knowledge and understanding grow through conversation and collaboration.

Albert Gallatin Lectures

The Gallatin School is pleased to present the Albert Gallatin Lecture (AGL) Series at NYU. The AGL, which had its inaugural presentation in the spring of 2006, brings a variety of notable figures to the University to discuss contemporary issues. The lectures are made possible through the support of an anonymous donor.

Distinguished Faculty Lectures

The Gallatin Distinguished Faculty Lecture (DFL) Series is a forum that honors the School's commitment to interdisciplinary study and excellence in intellectual, civic, and aesthetic endeavors. The DFL Series features speakers whose work or practice has made an outstanding contribution in one or more of these areas.
