Allyson Paty is a writer whose poems have appeared in publications including Boston Review, BOMB, Denver Quarterly, The Literary Review, Poetry, and The Yale Review, among others. Her nonfiction has been published in The Baffler and has been longlisted for The Best American Essays 2022 (published November 2022). She has been a NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellow in Poetry, a Starworks Fellow, and a Tin House New Voice in Poetry; her writing has been anthologized in Best New Poets; and her work has been supported with residencies with the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, Oregon State University, and The Ace Hotel. Formerly Editor in Chief of Washington Square Review, she is co-founding editor of the fine arts publisher Singing Saw Press. As Director of the Writing Program at NYU Gallatin, Allyson Paty guides all facets of the Gallatin Writing Programs curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular projects.
