MA Candidate - Artistic Activism
Sarah graduated with honors from the New School University, where she earned a BA in theater and politics. At Gallatin, she has narrowed her focus to the study of art in activism and works closely with the Center for Artistic Activism as a research fellow. In 2016, she was awarded the Gallatin Global Fellowship in Urban Practice from the Urban Democracy Lab and was sent to Berlin, Germany, to conduct research on artistic activism and the increasingly important role of art in social movements. Sarah is currently working on a podcast miniseries for her project thesis, which combines much of the field research, theory, and critical analysis that she has collected during her time at Gallatin.
