Magogodi Makhene

Magogodi is originally from Soweto, South Africa, and her studies at Gallatin focused on African social entrepreneurship and business for social change. While here, she co-founded Zenzele Circle, which links African entrepreneurs with global angel capital, and she co-founded the Society for Innovation in Africa, SoFIA, which produced the 2009 Africa Social Enterprise Forum. “It's hard to imagine any other program where all of this would have made sense,” she says of Gallatin. Her long-term goal is to strengthen African business through these ventures.
