Molly Horan’s teaching interests include 20th and 21st century young adult literature and web culture. She received her MFA in writing for children and young adults from the New School. She has worked at several prominent NYC websites including Buzzfeed, Mashable, and KnowYourMeme. She currently works as an associate editor of digital innovation at Refinery29, where she has written about the intersection between online fandoms and LGBT activism, body positivity, and the evolution of viral web content. She has taught at Fordham University, focusing on LGBT YA literature. She also acts as a book reviewer for Bust and Booklist.
