Gallatin Graduation Ceremony for the Class of 2023
The Gallatin Graduation ceremony will take place on May 16, 2023 at 1 pm at the Beacon Theatre. The 2023 Graduation Speaker is Tony Award Winner André De Shields (MA '91).
To access the MarchingOrder E-ticket registration site, all Graduates must complete the Gallatin Exit Survey. Once completed you will be redirected to register on the MarchingOrder ticket site.
E-Tickets
All Graduating students participating in the Gallatin Graduation Ceremony for the class of 2023 will receive up to 3 guest e-tickets and 1 candidate e-ticket. Please note that all e-tickets are for general admission seating, with the exception of seats for individuals with special needs; ADA requests must be made in advance through the MarchingOrder registration site.Please confirm your ADA requests by calling the Office of Student Affairs (212-998-7380). All E-Ticket orders must be placed in advance and accessed via your mobile device starting May 1 through May 15 using the Ticketmaster app. No print out of tickets will be accepted.

BA/MA Graduating Student Survey
As a final step, students must complete either the BA or MA grduating student survey to graduate.
BA: Beginning April 1, 2023, graduating BA students are required to complete the Gallatin BA Graduating Student Survey before the end of their final semester as a student in order to graduate. Please be sure to complete yours before graduation.
MA: Beginning April 1, 2023, graduating MA students are required to complete the Gallatin MA Graduating Student Survey before the end of their final semester as a student in order to graduate. Please be sure to complete yours before graduation.

A checklist of important things to do before Gallatin graduation
Special note for BA candidates: In order to participate in May 2023 graduation, you must complete the colloquium requirement by March 10, 2023.
- Apply for graduation BEFORE February 12, 2023, on Albert. (Please visit the Registrar's Website for information regarding graduation application deadlines.)
- Graduation invitations and eventually your diploma will be mailed to your permanent home address. Be sure to update this information in Albert as soon as possible.
- Order Commencement tickets starting mid-March 2023. A link will be sent to elligible candidates and graduates beginning mid-March 2023. If you don't receive an e-mail, please contact the Registrar's Office.
- Class of 2023 candidates will need to fill out the BA/MA exit survey on the Gallatin website. Once completed, they will be redirected to the MarchingOrder Ticket registration page, where they will request the total ticket amount desired for the Gallatin graduation ceremony.
- All orders for Gallatin Graduation tickets MUST be completed online by April 22, 2023 at 9 pm Eastern Standard Time.
- We require disability seating for a guest, how do we make this request? Candidates should make this request on their MarchingOrder ticketing form first, & then they should send an email to the Gallatin Office of Student Life studentlife.gallatin@nyu.edu. They will need to include their name, guests name and a contact phone number for the day of the event.
- If you are interested, order academic attire (pricing also listed at link). Late orders must be placed through an expedited shipping process.
- Attend Gallatin Graduation Ceremony on May 16, 2023.
- Attend NYU Commencement Ceremony on May 17, 2023.
- After April 1, 2023, submit the BA Exit Survey or the MA Exit Survey.
