STEAM Talks: Part 3

Join us at Gallatin for the third in a series of conversations about what it means to do interdisciplinary research in the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) fields, with Bradley Lewis. Lewis has interdisciplinary training in humanities, psychiatry, and continental philosophy. He writes and teaches at the interface of medicine, humanities, cultural studies, and disability studies, and he is associate editor for the Journal of Medical Humanities. He has affiliated appointments with NYU’s Department of Social and Cultural Analysis and the Medical Humanities Division of NYU’s Department of Medicine. His most recent books are Narrative Psychiatry: How Stories Can Shape Clinical Encounters (Johns Hopkins University Press, 2011) and Depression: Integrating Science, Humanities, and Culture (Routledge, 2011). His current book project is devoted to happiness, spirituality, and cares of the self in postmodern times.
