If a dance is not danced, it vanishes. The feature documentary If the Dancer Dances brings viewers into the intimate world of the dance studio, where RainForest, an iconic work by the legendary Merce Cunningham, is passed to a new generation of dancers.
Join us for a special Gallatin screening of If the Dancer Dances, which has just completed a theatrical release nationwide. The film stars the Stephen Petronio Company and was created by Gallatin faculty member Lise Friedman and director Maia Wechsler.
Following the screening, stay for a Q&A with the filmmakers and film subject Gino Grenek, moderated by Gallatin faculty member Julie Malnig.
