Performing with The Sea: North Sea, Bay of Bengal, Bay of All Saints, Bodo Inlet in The Gallatin Galleries is a projection of four works by Sarah Cameron Sunde, that can be viewed live in the gallery from the safe social distance of the sidewalk or via the gallery Website. https://wp.nyu.edu/gallatingalleries/
On September 5, there will be a livestream with the artist from Hallet’s Cove, New York, accompanied by reports from Sunde’s other performances from Maine, Mexico, San Francisco, Netherlands, Bangladesh, Brazil, Kenya, and Aotearoa. As part of the virtual event, there will be a panel discussion with international collaborators from around the world, moderated by Una Chaudhuri and the artist and apanel with NYU faculty—Una Chaudhuri, Lori Cole, Elaine Gan, Nadja Millner-Larsen, Robin Nagle, Mauricio Salgado, Sonia Werner—and students.
On Friday, September 18, 2-3:30 pm EDT, Sunde will speak with Kristin Horton, and will look at art, activism, and the limits and liberation of theater and performance. Open to NYU students and alumni only. RSVP here.
