Join the NYU Gallatin Dancers/Choreographers Alliance (DCA) as they present the diverse voices of seven student choreographers in their blended in-person and virtual production, Proximity. Being close to people is a privilege that is rarely afforded to anyone these days. How do we create closeness in a virtual space? What does “space” mean through the screen or in a socially distanced world? Are there any creative benefits to these limitations? With these challenges in mind, the DCA choreographers bravely endeavored to create powerful works.
PROGRAM A begins at 3 pm EST, featuring works by Neyl Loukil-Borrás and Cordelia Kwon.
PROGRAM B begins at 3:30 pm EST, featuring works by Sylvia Coopersmith and Brooke Landry.
PROGRAM C begins at 4 pm EST, featuring works by Avital Krifcher, Caroline Cook, and Sanjana Bhambhani.
