The Diversity Council of NYU Gallatin is committed to building and supporting a culture of inclusion, diversity, belonging, equity, and accessibility (IDBEA). Its members, which consist of students, faculty, and administrators, intend to work with key components of the School in order to identify how the community can improve its efforts in IDBEA issues; in order to bring forth recommendations to the Dean; and to create pathways for evaluating the Council's and School's initiatives. The Council will strive to create forums where students and other members of the Gallatin community can voice their concerns.
At this month’s meetings we want to hear from you: what topics would you like us to cover and focus on throughout the year? How can Gallatin better create spaces for historically marginalized students, staff, and faculty? All of that and more to be discussed at the first meeting. Please join us!
This is a hybrid even with an in-person meeting in the Student Lounge and a Zoom option.
In-Person Event Attendance Requirements: Only NYU students, faculty, and staff can RSVP. All attendees must RSVP. All individuals must show the Daily Screener green pass screen prior to entry to the building. Everyone must wear a mask/face covering that covers both the mouth and nose at all times. Eating and drinking are not permitted at indoor events.
New York University and Gallatin provide accommodations to people living with disabilities who wish to attend events at the School, whether in person or virtually. To request accommodations or should you have questions regarding accessibility for an event, please contact Gallatin’s Office of Special Events by emailing email@example.com.
