On Friday, February 3, The Gallatin Galleries newest show 13TEENTH Fl. will be open to visitors. Designed by Gallatin faculty member Kwami Coleman, the installation transforms the gallery into a space reminiscent of residential artists’ lofts of Lower Manhattan in the 1960s to 1990s. The show offers visitors a collection of images, sounds, textures and colors that evoke Black, Caribbean, Latine/Latinx, immigrant and bohemian living spaces in New York City. Blurring geography and history, 13TEENTH Fl. invites guests to enjoy the space as a home for both creative reflection and thoughtful action.
