Join Irene Morrison-Moncure for a presentation on the genre of “dark academia” and a generative writing workshop open to all students. Dark Academia uses the closed “space” of the college campus to explore issues and ideas threaded throughout society as a whole, often using an obsession with literature and exploration of the surreal to guide its narratives. Writing prompts will engage these themes in relationship to students’ own academic experiences.
